Don't forget the women!

Although this is a Surname DNA project, and thus emphasis is on the male of the species, we have recruited a direct maternal line descendant from an early FAMILTON family to see what that might tell us.
The recruit descends from Bessie FAMILTON's daughter Margaret RUNCHAMAN, so the results will also be of interest to the RUNCIMAN project.

The World Family Network FAMILTON Summary pages have been updated to include an outline pedigree for William FAMILTON of Earlston, and including a potential line in Australia able to represent the family.

HAMILTON

Decided to add the publicly available results for our HAMILTON match into the project for a comparison.
Check out MRMEH's page for his assorted links, and the Supplementary project pages for the actual dna results found online.

Bit of a revamp

Finally made time to do a few tweaks to the FAMILTON Surname DNA Project supplementary pages.
Very little new information has been added, but the descendant chart formats have (mostly, I think) been brought up to the more interactive version where you can expand/contract lines to get a better idea of where people fit.
A few more twigs were added to the Wanted line of William and Bessie (WILSON) FAMILTON in the hope of finding a representative to see if there's a match to the Ancrum line already represented.
I'm currently checking a tree in Australia who claims descent from one of the children of George and Isabella (ORMISTON) HAMILTON and looks to have a large number of descendants, so fingers crossed that might work out.
